"Booked restaurant two weeks previous to our date of 7 th September for dinner my niece who lives in Plockton confirmed date and time o the evening of the 6th . We arrived at the restaurant on 7th to find it closed . No explanation given including no phone calls . Kwashiorkor told that this has happened before . Extremely disappointed. Thankfully we were accommodated at the Plockton Hotel which was extremely good and welcoming"

"We called to book at this restaurant and the staff let us know they were booked for the evening. We were tired and hungry from a long day of travel and touring, and I asked them for walk in recommendations, which they kindly provided. While I was looking into those options, the staff at Red Skye called back and had a cancellation. We hurried over and were warmly greeted by the two kindest servers we've ever encountered. We enjoyed appetizers of scallops and cullen skink soup, then main courses of Langoustines and Mushroom Risotto. My husband and I shared all of the dishes, and topped the meal off with a rhubarb/berry crumble with vanilla ice cream. The servers also provided friendly conversation and assisted us in the best route to our next stop. By far, one of the best meals and definitely the kindest, most fun staff of any restaurants we dined in. Highly recommend, but book ahead!"

"We dived on the off-channels from a lunch table and were sitting immediately from the window with a beautiful harbour view. we had the most glorious (although a tad expensive) scallops to begin, then between us, cullen skink, scampi, muscheln and langoustines. the quality of the seafood was excellent and they made children portions of the suppe and the longustin on request. service was fast and friendly so that a 10% tip in order. overall excellent, but one or two smaller niggers. the charalat is a bit boring, couple leaves iceberg, grated carrot, no dressing, and the brot is clear shop bought baguettes, homemade would have been so much better."

"I’ve been to a few Michelin star restaurants and if you ask me in ten years what I ate I wouldn’t be able to tell you. If you ask me in 10 years what I ate here I’ll tell you the seafood paella and apple dessert were to die for and if it were socially acceptable I would have licked the plate. Order the paella (must call ahead to reserve this dish) and you won’t be disappointed!!! Service: Dine in"
