"We stopped on the off chance with no reservation, it was busy when we arrived as there was a coach trip there. The lady at the bar said she could seat us for food in half an hour so we returned and my partner had the haddock and chips which he enjoyed and I had the scallops and black pudding starter as my main. The scallops were beautifully cooked and the black pudding was the best I've ever had! Would definitely recommend. "With friends who were before. the restaurant is small with maybe 30 covers and was full in the night when I left. had the steak that was as delicate as butter cut. I thought the prizes were pretty reasonable considering everything was going on. small wine list, but sufficient. I liked the use of kegs as decoration, a nice note. a pleasant evening all around."
