the owner ravi is south indian and is friendly and understands vegan, lacto-vegetarian etc. and knows the ingredients in everything on the menu. I am lacto-vegetarian, like most Indians, so it was easy to put that, but they can do a full thial/set course with only vegan products. the dosa was good and fresh, like the chai and the suppe and all objects. I've got to go sweets. the owner assured us that the fried items... View all feedback.
I informed the restaurant on Facebook about vegan options and quickly received a list. They reacted to English. I tried peppermint tea for 250 yen and the South Indian course for 2300 yen. The owner made substitutions so it was all vegan. I had green salad without dressing, a samosa and a Vada with coconut sauce, lemon rice, sambar and a dosa, and also to choose a curry - I chose Chana masala. The owner was friendly and friendly, the restaurant looked and even smells clean, and the food was tasty - I especially enjoyed the dosa, the Vada with coconut sauce, and the lemon rice. I wish they had a vegan dessert option. I'd like to come back! Edit: I went back without calling first and in this case it was said that the South Indian plate, masala dosa and spicy masala dosa were vegan. The staff understood my question and checked with me twice that vegan did not mean honey/dairy/egg etc. I had the spicy masala dosa and it was well updated by previous review on 2018-11-18
I reached out to the restaurant through Facebook to inquire about vegan options and promptly received a list. They replied in English and I decided to try their peppermint tea for 250 yen along with the South Indian course for 2300 yen. The owner was accommodating and made substitutions so that everything was vegan. I enjoyed a green salad without dressing, a samosa and vada with coconut sauce, lemon rice, sambar, and a dosa. I also had the choice of one curry, and I opted for the chana masala. The owner was friendly, the restaurant was clean and inviting, and the food was delicious. My favorite items were the dosa, the vada with coconut sauce, and the lemon rice. The only downside was the lack of a vegan dessert option. I would definitely go back! On a second visit, I was informed that the South Indian plate, masala dosa, and spicy masala dosa were also vegan options. The staff were attentive and made sure to confirm that vegan meant no honey, dairy, or eggs. I tried the spicy masala dosa and found it to be enjoyable.
The restaurant is owned by Ravi, who is South Indian and very friendly. He is knowledgeable about vegan and lacto-vegetarian options, and can easily cater to those dietary preferences. I, being lacto-vegetarian like most Indians, found it simple to request dishes accordingly. They also offer a full Thali/Set course with vegan options only. The Dosa, Chai, soup, and other items were all delicious and fresh. I even took some vegetable soup to go. Ravi assured us that the fried items are prepared separately from meat products, including the deep-fried items specifically for vegetarians. The restaurant is located on the second floor in a tight space among other shops, so keep an eye out for signs directing you there.
I had a wonderful time at this restaurant. The food was delicious, the prices were reasonable, the staff was friendly, and the owner is clearly knowledgeable about vegan options. While vegan items were not labeled on the menu, the owner was very helpful in explaining which dishes were vegan. The menu is available in both Japanese and English, and both languages are spoken at the restaurant. The location on HappyCow is slightly inaccurate, but using the restaurant's name on Google Maps will provide the correct address.
