For special occasions, we love to go to the Asylum Restaurant for both the food and the view. The butternut squash soup is excellent. The stack makes for a perfect lunch. The steak was very good. View all feedback.
FanTasTic!!! The butternut squash soup is like its signature soup- it is gorgeous. I had the Chilean lake bass and I am so glad that I am!! It was perfectly cooked, with exquisite presentation. My friend had the Duck chest, and was surprised how tastefully the duck was prepared. You have to try! It's our last night here, so we'll eat again tonight!!
Don’t miss out on this absolute gem!! Delicious food, quality service, and a fun atmosphere. Head up the hill and try anything, you’ll like it! When you are stuffed and happy, glance at the dessert menu and pick out a treat to take with you!
First off....getting there is an experience in itself! Careful if you have a low sports car...It is a ONE lane to and from. If you come head to head with another car, the one coming DOWN needs to back up uphill until one can pass. Ok, now for the restaurant. I expected much less thinking it leaned on it's haunted attraction. We were both VERY pleased with both of our meals. We were there for a late lunch. I had the chicken Ceasar(sp? with a great homemade dressing, the romaine lettuce was top notch and dark green (not the pale bottoms you usually get... The bread that came with it was excellent and a nice extra touch. Loved my alfalfa sprouts as a topper was perfect! My husband had the hamburger, and as an expect burger eater, he was very happy and satisfied. The bun looked amazing. Oh, need to tell you about my Sangria...don't miss it, filled with fruit and was very refreshing! Will go back and enjoy the great view and food again. They also have a nice patio to enjoy.

Fun spot for desert destiny. Food and drinks very well. Calamari app. Excellent. Loved the ugly pear Marguerita, not too sweet. On the expensive side, but it's 'fine dining' This is an old hospital, not crazy asylum, built in 1927 and just a few years. Restaurant is connected to the Jerome Grand Hotel, although they don't give more tours to protect guests privacy. Cool place in any case.
