Lovely place, great food in Japanese style. You need to reserve a seat in advance, try via your hotel reception desk, they will arrange it for you.

"Onpoint Madarao is everything we've been looking for for a long weekend in nature. Both my partner and I are vegan. All we had to do was let Justin and Kaori know in advance, and they really went beyond and beyond to create a menu for us. Every single meal was an amazing experience of different flavors and textures, all plants based and made at home. Breakfast was western style, while dinner was more Japanese cuisine. On the last day we had lunch at the lodge and we tried the drawn Pilzburger. This was the hands down THE best burgers I ever had, 100%vegan and full of taste. After the long walks and all the cycling during the day, back to a hearty meal prepared with the freshest ingredients is everything you need to recharge! I definitely recommend you for breakfast / dinner package if you choose your stay! The lodge itself is wonderful, with a modern design and a sense of warmth throughout the room. We were in one of the superior rooms that have a double bed and private bathroom. The room and lodge in general are super clean and with stylish furniture and finish. Justin knows the area exceptionally well, so he can be able to walk in place and do activities while you are there. Justin and Kaori are both very attentive and friendly, it was a pleasure to meet them. We will definitely return in autumn and winter for more excursions to nature and relaxing time in Onpoint Madarao! Updated by previous review on 2020-08-23"

"Fun, interesting microbrewery in Nozawa Onsen. I found they had a good selection of designs (12 when I was there) and they actually make a good IPA that is not common in Japan. You also have a selection of local juices on offer. I recommend the Nozawa IPA or the Rhubarb season when they have it. Both were quite delicious and from the usual for Japanese craft beer options. Take advantage of the visit if you are here skiing or sightseeing."
