We first heard about the Sir George hotel when it appeared on the Sydney Weekender, and we decided it would be a great spot to stop between Goulburn and Tumut. It was lovely to leave the cold and wet weather outside and walk into a pub with it’s roaring fires inside. They have a café at the back, which serves eat in and take coffee and sweets. As this restaurant was recommended, we travelled with friends to enjoy a meal together. The atmosphere and decor were great,staff friendly however when it came to the meal and service we were disappointed. Meals were average and some meals were forgotten altogether.
