"This place is the nearest shack to the Heritage Club Hotel, and takes full advantage of its position. I make no apologies for copying an extract of my review of the Heritage Club Hotel, since our meal at the Starfish was the only disappointing experience...of our wonderful holiday. Our only negative experience foodwise was at the Starfish shack, which had mainly been given good reviews on here. My wife was about to order a prawn meal, but was advised that `the crab is very good today’. She accepted the recommendation and was presented with a few crab claws and a pair of nutcrackers. She had great difficulty in obtaining any crab, and when she asked for help, the waiter’s invaluable advice was ‘Use the nutcrackers’. When we went to pay, we found that the crab cost rupees, about three times the price of the prawn meal that she was originally going to order. Obviously, we should have asked the price beforehand, but we felt that this was sharp practice and didn’t return. Mario’s, farther up the beach was a much better alternative. Walk a bit farther (good for the steps and get better service, better food and better prices."

"Very reasonable prices. there were two lunches. everything we tried was pretty good, but I especially recommend their freshly grilled fish tasty and good value. when they eat there, they can use the sunbeds for free. makes a great day. on the beach."

"I visited Caji Square last month. Went there with family and had a great time. One of the places that serve beef and pork too. The roast beef and tongue roast are a must try! The owner was quite friendly and served up a good...spread for us. Pork vindaloo was quite good but the roast beef just took my breath away. Haven't had anything like this in ages. The place is quite out of the way and a bit difficult to find. After you go past the cansaulim railway station toward the kings church, look for a railway bridge on your left (next to a red building) take that narrow road and travel in for about meters and you will find the place on your left. They have car parking for a couple of cars. The owner shared his home-made wine with me seeing the wife's penchant for port wine. It was a nice gesture on his part, he refused to sell any though! The place is very affordable. The total bill for four people including drinks and hearty food came to Rs. Bear in mind that this included at least non-veg dishes! I would give this place a thumbs up and would recommend a visit if you are near cansaulim."

"Nice setting, good ambience, courteous waiters, well stocked bar and a pool table! The food here is really good and has value for money. We went as a group of four and had ordered one each of a veg pasta, a Goan prawn curry, a...grilled and cured fish and a grilled chicken... And were very happy with the taste as well as presentation. Go for it if you are in the vicinity and care of some fine dining."
