"Pricey? Yes. Worth it? YES!!! Extremely lovely setting, and with a manager who is passionate about her food and craft. You can feel it from the moment you enter. Every single dish we ordered was delightful, and invigorating, well cooked, well seasoned, well spiced. "A memorable dining experience at Madame Wang's! We ordered the Bruce Lee Prime Fillet Steak, Madame Wang Meets Bavaria Jager Schnitzel, Chuck Norris does China Chicken and the Braised Roasted Duck. The meals were out of this world delicious and my son even went so far as to say it was the best meal he'd ever tasted. High praise. The staff were very attentive and friendly. Decor has an oriental bent with intriguing oddments and curios peppered throughout. A feast for the belly and eyes!"

"My friend and I were at Katoomba for 2 nights. We decided to have a go at Pins because of great reviews. We weren't disappointed... instead of entrees and mains, we decided to do 6 entrees between us (it was a lot but we did good ;-)) We thought the zucchini flowers, scallops and lamb cutlets were terrific.. the other items pork loin, pumpkin soup and mushroom and onion bruschetta were also good.. one remark was that all the entrees came all at once not allowing us to enjoy the evening at a measured pace.."

"Very popular restaurant on the weekend, lucky we booked earlier in the week as it was all booked out. We were due to dine for the later session, but they gave us a call as the table was available 15 minutes early, which was perfect as we were just about to get there. From that point on, the service of the night was top notch, very friendly attentive. The menu was a classic Mod Aust, salmon, scallops, steak, chicken, lamb, pork etc, just what you expect, no surprises. I had the scallop for entree, it was nice and light with the accompanied salad. The smoked salmon with poached egg caviar was nice too, but for me it still seems a bit of a breakfast combo. My main with the Angus beef was a bit of a mixed dish, the steak itself was good, but the lentils were really out of place didn't go with the dish, also the potatoe cake was chewy crusty, could've been crunchy if it wasn't being sandwiched between the steak the lentils, and soaked through in the jus. The dessert of chocolate mousse pumpkin sponge was good, but we were already so full from the first two courses, we shared one dessert still couldn't finish it. Overall, a nice evening and a good dinning option when staying in the mountains."
