Today for the first time for lunch. Place is really nice for a bbq place. Had the pulled pork sandwich they were known for. It was excellent (has it without the Koleslaw). Very humid and tasteful. A little different from Texas bbq, but still good. My children liked the ribs, but not the Mac and cheese. Go back. View all feedback.

Known Memphis Grill Chain, Corky 's BBQ, has made its way to Texas and its first location in the Lone Star State is in Katy. I can imagine how challenging it will be to compete with all Top-Notch Texas Barbecue that can be found in the Lone Star state. Everything is smoked about Hickory and coal. They use a Southern Pride Rotisserie mine. However, charcoal and charcoal are only obliged to harm the meat – and the temperature is maintained by natural gas. My barbecue buddy, Matt, and I tried most of the menu, including all four of their main pork ribs, pulled pork, brisket and chicken. The St. Louis Trimm spare parts were generally very good. Their pork ribs come three different ways; 1) dry, 2) wet and 3) muddy. Dry ribs are a Memphis tradition, the ribs are bleached with a grill sauce and then covered in a good amount of dry jerks. Wet ribs are a more traditional style rib, with a grill sauce as they cook. Muddy ribs are a combination of wet and dry. As Corky 's describes muddy: ...slowly bleached in Corky's original BBQ sauce, sprinkled with our dry Rub season, then covered in Corky's original BBQ sauce. The taste was very good in all three different types of ribs. I wondered about the texture of the mud ribs, but was not disappointed. Dry rubbing in dry and muddy ribs is very heavy on paprika. The meat was wet and cleanly pulled from the bone without falling off. Pigmeat The pulled pig had a good taste. It was a bit dry for my pleasure, but that was easily fixed by a few pieces of their standard grill sauce (they also have a spicy sauce that was also very good). Grill chicken The grilled chicken had great taste. It had no crispy skin. But it was very delicious exactly the same, covered in their standard grill sauce. The meat was moist and tasteful and was very delicious. Brisket I was honestly surprised how good the bride was. Fortunately, it had an excellent bark and decent smoke ring. We have some slices of fat brisket and it was very moist indeed, with well made fat and good smokey taste. Pages We had to try a series of their sides Coleslaw, green beans-casrole, southern pan corn and twice baked potato salad. The Koleslaw was excellent, it only needed a bit of crisp black pepper (but I am a nut for crisp black pepper). The green beans-casrole was a disappointment. I couldn't put my finger on what was wrong, but it was definitely not right. The southern horn and twice baked potato were both excellent. The corn was creamy and tasty mixed with cream cheese/seed and sewn onions and peppers. Nothing bad about this combination. And the twice baked potato was so tasty that it had exactly the right amount of cream, instead of cubed with thin sliced potatoes. It's just delicious. All in all, my first experience with Corky 's and Memphis Grill was great. They had good service and friendly people, and the room is much open and comfortable. We even need to talk to Marketing Director for a few minutes. I'm not sure I'm gonna go all the way from Tomball to Katy again for Memphis 'cue. But if they have a branch in Tomball, I would certainly not hesitate to go back. And next time I have to try the Texas sausage.
We ate like kings!!! Sa at the bar and our bartender, Evan, did an amazing task to feed us delicious bbq and ice cold beer....Everything was great had a variety of varieties for the price. Would highly recommend the dry ribs they are a taste of Memphis. Can wait till back! If you are on the fence to try this place, simply drag the trigger already it is all good... Delgado approved!
The first time here. My wife and I shared the half ribs and BBQ chickens. My boys had pulled pork slides and Mac n cheese with okra. For dessert we share the most important lime cakes, banana pudding and peach-cobbler. Everything was good. We thought the ribs and the sauce were a bit salty. The tea was very good. We liked the Cole Slav, chicken, hush puppies, okra and all desserts. The staff was friendly... they had an Elvis impersonator singing. Clean bathroom, beautiful and bright... I'm sure we're back.
Corky's is the BRISKET and potatoe salad spot in Katy! Ms. Lisa, our waitress, was super friendly and treated all of us with the best hospitality waiting staff provides. The live music is great, and the atmosphere is conducive to an overall GOOD TIME! EASY ACCESS off of I-10. Plenty of parking. There is a drive thru as well here! Overall, the food is good, I'm not sure why people are writing such bad reviews. Try for yourself! Side note: Corky's Management, please have lights installed on your parking lot. Also...keep the thermostat at a comfortable setting. The temperature was dropping outside and in the restaurant! It was very cold, and we were not dining on the patio.
