"I wasn't sure what to expect but this little dinner was just fine. There were two young woman working the morning shift and they were friendly and courteous. The dinner was clean and simple. There lunch special looks looked like they cater to the school...crowd. Our home-fries, sausage and eggs, coffee and rye toast came quickly and was quite good. The prices were very reasonable. Yes I would recommend this restaurant."

"New to town so my husband and I decided to try this place out. Great spot right alongside the locks. Patio was packed. Menu was very small. I had planned on getting a steak but they didn't offer any. Decided on the Caesar salad with shrimp. It was 14.95 for the salad and 4.50 for the shrimp. Salad was terrible for the price. They advertised a home made dressing. The salad was very soggy like it had been sitting made for quite some time. There was black lettuce all through it. I set that aside on a side plate as I was eating it. The dressing was not tasty at all. Just tasted like watered down Caesar dressing from a bottle. There was next to no bacon in it. I did however find a few bacon bits in the bottom. There were 3 shrimp in the salad. They were actually really good. My thoughts on this salad are that I understand a restaurant is in business to make money but if you are going to serve a soggy bowl of lettuce with 3 shrimp for almost twenty bucks we will just go somewhere else for a night out. My husband ordered the seafood pasta. It was tasty. Small portion for a man but he said it was good. The garlic bread wasn't what you would expect. Looked like two tiny triangles of pita bread toasted. All in all I have to say I did express my dislike for my entree and they took the salad off of our bill. Because of they way the waitress handled it we will return for another meal and try something else. I'm sure by the amount of people dining there must be many other tasty dishes to try."

"Sadly, not the friendliest place. First time visiting and was thirsty so I asked for water after being “greeted” by the waitress. I was told no water is served there other than bottles as they have no glasses. Insane. Service: Dine in Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: CA$10–20"

"We are on the patio. The waitress was prompt to begin our service. When our order arrived it was in a timely manner but wrong. Then when it was corrected one of the plates had brown ended celery. We were checked on once through our dining experience. Then when it came to about 20 minutes after us being finished and ready to pay the patio hadn't had service in awhile. Another couple had waited the whole 20 minutes to order but got up and left. My husband ended up going into the restaurant to pay. My chicken fingers were pretty good. My husband said his wings were ok. We may return we aren't sure."

"I hate to say it, but it wasn't good at all. I ordered many dishes for a big party and everyone was disappointed. Not worth the price. I can literally make better pad Thai and pineapple fried rice."

"My husband and I discovered this little gem of a place a few years back and loved our first meal so much that we booked again for the next night. Now every time we come back we book back to back nights because the food really is amazing and the staff are so lovely and welcoming.. we’ve told our friends who have cottages near by… we just love the whole Ziraldos experience… it’s old school wholesome and tasty meals. I’ve read a few negative reviews here and I’ve got to say it would only be left by someone who needs a new attitude more than just a good meal to fix their life. Keep in mind this is the little restaurant that could..with just a few staff…in a little town that often gets over flowed with so many tourists ..doing the best they can in any given situation..in my experience we’ve always delicious meals delivered with kindness and warmth. Can’t wait to get back again for our Ziraldos fix soon!"

"It's our second visit. Again, amazing food and staff. My husband enjoyed the DUCK very much while I liked the juicy lamb frame. We were fascinated by the unique desert of the chef, it is an art piece that you do not want to destroy it. Of course we could not resist temptation to eat it too. It's so... delicious.
