"A lovely spot serving a classic veg menu with creative twists. Delicious food and a great atmosphere. I highly recommend the mushroom appi. The tacos were tasty and the portion was a good sized, but they were a little challenging to eat because they were so full. May have been better with three tortillas. Overall, highly recommend."

"Had higher expectations based on previous ratings and reviews. The menu was interesting with Asian influences alongside pizza. We ordered the Vikki pizza. Delicious and tasty. Try nice. The mushrooms were mainly batter. Good batter but missing the mushrooms. The Nasi Goreng was good but with all the additions, the rice was actually a little hard to find. Great vibe, excellent service!"

"First time at Yamas Taverna, ordered the “jumbo” garlic prawns for $16 and it only came with 5 tiny pieces. Not sure if this is normal for this restaurant but I was pretty disappointed to find out that I paid $16 for 5 pieces of regular sized shrimps."

"My wife and I have been going to Basil Mint for two years and have had an amazing experience with every visit. Tonight was no exception. We visited to celebrate our anniversary and were immediately welcomed and congratulated. We were sat by the window as per my reservation and the service was impeccable. My wife is a fan of the roast chicken and it has never disappointed. I usually vary between the specials and again have never been disappointed. The flavors are always bold and the meat very juicy. My recommendation is their 16oz steak when it's one of their seasonal specials. Their menu selection is a little smaller but each item is mastered by the chefs. If you are looking for a restaurant for your special occasion, whatever it may be, or an evening to treat yourself to amazing cuisine I can't recommend this place any higher."

"Great little catch! Super comfortable dinning room. Very nice staff with quick food service. Portions are a little small but prices are reasonable (the old seesaw, though they could add a dollar and pass it on to me in larger servings). If I lived locally, this would a great regular place for a nice meal out with my date (wife). Please stop in and enjoy."

"This is the place when you're in the mood for white-man Chinese! The staff is friendly at this small take out joint and have always had a positive experience. I've tried about 8 different dishes here and most have good flavour. I really appreciate that they don't coat everything in that gross slimy sauce that other places do. The ginger beef has a good spicy kick to it and the gai lan is always cooked perfectly with a nice crunch. The Shanghai noodles has lots of char sui in it, which my boys love. My least favourite dishes are the fried rices as I find they lack some flavour but I'm picky that way. Large portions for a decent price. Our latest order was for 2 meat dishes, 2 noodle and 1 veggie. This was WAY too much food for two adults and two children. We will have leftovers for days! I read other reviews that sometimes they are out of certain ingredients and it happened to me once. I didn't mind at all, it made me choose something new! I also noticed negative comments about the cash discount when they paid by debit. Well, they don't deserve to receive the discount if they don't know what cash means. Idiots."
