We went here for lunch not expecting too much, but even then there was only us and one other table and it took over 40 minutes to cook our meals. Then our meals were burnt and over cooked. Not once did someone ask how our meals were, very disappointing as a local won't be coming back. read more.

"It is with heavy heart that I actually write this report - we holiday @ South West Rocks every year & for the past couple of years we actually make a point of coming out to Gladstone for the day to enjoy the surroundings as well as having lunch/dinner at this beautiful Hotel. The last 2 years we have been deeply disappointed with the service of the restaurant - they always run out of their "specials". This year we asked what time does the restaurant/bistro close - 2.00pm - so us ladies went out for some boutique shopping - returned just after 12.00 but the CLOSED sign was put up for food orders @ 1.15pm! However after some persuasion we were able to order a couple of "dips" which were overpriced - it was inconvenient time as it was pouring rain & we were unable to go another establishment to order some lunch. Very disappointed we will not be making the trip out next year."
