"Came with 2 friends, we ordered the same main and I ordered the soup. Soup was forgotten about, the 3 prawns mains were like rubber and absolutely tasteless. Lettuce was mixed through the prawns and cooked which was horrible, we ordered 2 waters and a wine after which was also forgotten about but tried to charge for it at the till, when we told them they never came a joke was made that the server was out last night…and still feeling the effects at half 6 in the evening. How the hell is this place number 1 in Kilrush."

"With starters of sinfully delicious crab claws with garlic butter and melt in the mouth goats cheese and hazelnut salad our tastebuds were awakened, we could not begin to anticipate what our main courses would taste like. We were not disapointed. From the salmon dish to traditional fish and chips, all were attractively presented and tasted amazing. Accompanied by a fantastic house chardonnay one which every good restauranteur should have. Good choice by the owner!! Friendly and attentive staff and a warm relaxing environment this 'gourmet hotspot ' is so well worth a visit whilst in Doonbeg."
