"Food was fantastic, make sure you are hungry as the portions are generous, I had the fish pie which was packed full of fish. Also recommend the Angus burger and the steak and ale pie, the veg and chips portions are delicious and generous"

"Lively place with a good feel and prompt service. They opened early for breakfast which was handy for us as our accommodation did not offer breakfast. I liked the concept of suspended swing seats by the front window, and so did some unsupervised children, which was a little worrying at times!"

"The muscles were wonderful and the sauce for them aboslutly divine. The burger was also very nice! To top that, the view from the resturant was stunning, try and get a window seat if you can. Would highly recommend!"

"Booked a table on Wednesday 8th November for 2 people, booking was accepted and confirmed. Member of staff called me on Friday 10th November to ask if we wanted to cancel booking as they had a table of 15 and a table of 20 booked and as our booking was only for 2 we would be served after the larger bookings and told we would have to wait a long time for our food. We cancelled, as a booking for 2 is obviously not important to the railway inn management team, having been there several times with several friends and live local I will no longer give them my custom, so I hope the larger bookings will be returning customers as I and my friends will not. Very poor customer service!!!"
