We enjoyed a wonderful and hearty breakfast each of the days we visited .The staff were helpful and the owner was a wealth of knowledge about the Island .We were given wonderful advise about the sites of the Island and suggestions about eating venues along the way.A great way to start each day read more.

We had just arrived on kangaroo island and we were looking for a bite to eat. We came across this cafe as it was a bit cheaper than nearby places. Well...you would think it's easy to make an omelette and coffee. Coffee was watery, omelette pretty plain. We also ordered a fritatta which didn't taste very great. "This place is a no frill place for quick, fresh fried seafood meals, next to a gas station. We love their fried shrimp, fried scallops and fish and chips. It's self-service but the food was freshly made and we didn't have to wait too long. We also bought some fresh salmon there to cook in the condo and it was delicious. Think their fresh seafood there is much better than what's in the grocery store although the price is slightly higher. Mid to lower price range family dining options are quite limited on the island in winter time so we are glad we found this place."
