Massarellas - Kirklees

The Massarellas is indeed not a bad choice, which is also confirmed by the previous customers with an average assessment of 3.2.

What sheepygold likes about Massarellas:
We came for lunch. 2 of us had hot beef sandwiches, one a jacket potato and one a toastie. All were good sized portions, really nice quality and fairly priced. We were warned about waiting for the food and it was 25 minutes as promised. View all feedback.

What LamplighterYork doesn't like about Massarellas:
13.20 is not unusually late for a lunch but we were disappointed with the empty racks on the counter and the number of items missing from sale. My wife made do with a scone which she enjoyed and declared “very nice”. I asked for the pie of the day but was told it had finished, so made do with a stew and some chips. The stew was quite good and meaty and very tasty. The lady serving me was helpful and cheerful and brought the food to our table saying she’d warmed up the stew a little as it had been out some time. Other staff, clearing tables, etc, were far from cheerful and seemed quite churlish. Prices were not high but seemed worthy of nicer surroundings and better service. No improvement on my last visit in 2017.
