"Had the Boondocks No 2 today and enjoyed every bite. 1st time visitor as a fun fact. Definitely returning and telling buddies about this local business and gem in my mind. "Food was decent with fast service. Some unexpected scenarios at our first time trying this restaurant though. While selecting the menu items from provided tablet, I noticed, all of a sudden my bill turned from around 80 90 to about 250. I was surprised since I planned to order more items. Checked with the staff. They mentioned that it has been changed to dinner buffet to order anything we want except for drinks. Point is, no one informed about this ,dinner buffet change, at any time not while booking the table, not when we entered the restaurant, not when we were seated by the server and not even on the website . Didn 't want to make it a big deal since, we were having a good time with family, however, after sometime a server came with a smiling face and said we have 20 minutes to leave as there 's a time limit. I wasn 't happy but we discussed to let just leave and that 's what we did after finishing our food. Keep customers informed about these price changes and time limit beforehand, so they can come prepared."

"We were here for the Easter Saturday lunch all 11 of us. Nice dine in place. Feels like you’re in a family setting. The decor is neat and eclectic options to choose in the menu.The food was a bit spicy for most of us but I liked it. I liked the punch I felt that hit close to home. We all had a good time here that day.Fresh edibles. Reasonable prices. Tasty lunch. Staff was friendly. They didn’t take much time to serve us which is great. Keep up the great work."

"My wife and I had the Halibut fish & chips which is a premium cost at $11.99 but we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The light batter on the fish was perfect. The two pieces of fish are somewhat smaller than those served to other customers who probably had the cheaper whitefish. The Lunch Special at $5.59 would likely be a great deal. It was moderately busy on Thursday night and our waiter said the adjacent 2 year road construction is really reducing their business. They have plenty of parking and still easy to get in and out. Our first time there as we were visiting at the nearby condo. We will definitely return."

"There is always something very special, at least to me, of finding myself in a Levantine family owned restaurant. The warmth of the welcome is always palpable and the concern for your enjoyment is sincere. The lentil soup is excellent, the kibbeh are just what...you want them to be, the hummus is thick and tangy, the tabbouleh has no bulgar filler at all, just bright and green, the rice is fluffy and long and the shawarma tastes of the grill and careful seasoning. Well away from the bustle of the heart of U of Waterloo campus, this is a spot worth the extra few minutes to find you way toward."

"My wife and daughter and I go out for lunch (almost) every Saturday and our tastes are all over the place. We often opt (at least once a month) for Sakura. Their food is always well prepared and visually appealing, service is good and the pricing reasonable. Not a large restaurant and when busy it can get noisy but worth the money for Japanese fair."
