Central Cologne has a preponderance of Brauhaus food, which isn't great; and the restaurants by the river are generally pretty poor. It was therefore an unexpected delight to stumble upon this tucked away delicumrestaurant near Kolumba which is fabulous that's another topic though. We...had a table outside in the sun shade, where we were served delicious bream and Sicilian white wine. Madame or should that be Signora... View all feedback.
What Tobias doesn't like about Veltri:
rarely felt so uneasy! I had been there with my mother, I just wanted to drink a coffee my mother wanted to eat something when the waiter came and I meant I just wanted to drink before my mother could say what it was: we are not bare that - we don't do it. and went before my mother or I could say something, then the boss came immediately: he meant what we want to eat now in an extremely hateful order View all feedback.
Very good antipasti. pasta was freshly prepared and tasted well. a good address to eat Italian at lunchtime. there are a few fish dishes that looked delicious at the neighboring, but I did not try them.
Very nice small restaurant with authentic kitchen. the dishes are very well prepared and fresh. there is a small constantly changing menu, special requests are possible. a large selection of starters is also available. a very good family business, here they are a hospitable and friend. Koln in degree heat in the summer, swamped by tourists and stag and hen do s is nothing to write home about. But a visit to this little gem made it all better. We turned up half an hour before closing but the wonderful...customer service we received did not reflect this. We were seated, shown menus with a smile and made to feel really welcome. The food is authentic traditional Italian. Let them chose for you. You won’t be disappointed. The antipasti was to die for. The pasta was gorgeous. The meat beautifully prepared. The wine was divine and the coffee was nutty and aromatic. This has to be the best meal we have had in and probably the only reason I’d come back to koln again
We stumbled upon this Enoteca a few steps away from the Dom and the main shopping district. We stopped in on a whim. Hours are from mainly a lunch place takeoutmeal to home for the nearby business district. However we ordered a...Sicilian bottle of white enjoyed complimentary appetizers. The seafood salad was a delicious! Family run very friendly and attentive service

Madame or should that be Signora? bustled about babbling in Italian and German, while the charming waiter used his quite good English to tel us he loved New Zealand cricket not words you hear often in Germany! but then he was Afghan. This is well worth seeking out, and I don't think you will be disappointed
