"Our stay was fantastic, we enjoyed the time in the sauna, steaming room and outdoor pool, we had a good dinner with 5 courses, we were hungry and the portions were not enough from the first 2, but the 3rd was a buffet salad, that was perfect! They have a cozy bar where live music was played and the breakfast was more than perfect. Nothing to complain about the room and service."

"Eingeladen auf der Website des Alten Torkels in Jenins zum "spitzenmässig tafeln".Nun, die Preise sind in der Tat spitzenmässig, nicht aber das Bestellte und vor allem nicht der Service der Hausherrin.Bestellt wurde ein "rosa gebratener Braten vom Emmentaler Kalb" ... war das doch auch die Tagesempfehlung, gekommen ist ein durchgekochter Braten, alles andere wie rosa. Die Chefin hat das ebenso wie das Servierpersonal auch so gesehen und nahm es mit vielen, unnötigen Erklärungen so zur Kenntnis, genauso wie den nicht kühl servierten Weisswein und das nicht kühl servierte Mineralwasser - obwohl im Alten Torkel eben grad frisch um- und angebaut wurde, wurde offenbar an der Infrastruktur für kühle Getränke gespart !Schade für das wunderschöne Lokal hoch über der Bündner Herrschaft ... wurde doch damit der Gast nicht zum Wiederkommen motiviert - nicht einmal eine Entschuldigung oder ein Kaffee war das Vorgefallene der Hausherrin wert."

"Some of my family have visited for years and attest to consistently good food and service. Very good pizza from a wood burning oven huge, but very thin crust (initially didn’t think I would finish it). Very decent prices, pizzas with several toppings, e.g. Pizza...Capricciosa, are €11.30 Go there early (i.e. before 7pm) or make a reservation. Absolutely agree with my relatives and will certainly visit again on future stays in Gaschurn."
