valuable sushi restaurant in gion, (kyoto are inside city.) most sushi are 220yen for a plate(2 sushi for a plate.) the personal will make sushi even after their order. they are very friendly and entertaining. they can see the river kamo of restaurants. it is a very famous restaurant. they may have to get up, but it's worth it. I came back in 2017 and 2019. the standard for affordable sushi has not fallen. yes, you should wait for your round, but the sushi is worth it. delicious!

Dined here in 2019 and till this day I still think about this place in my sleep absolutely delicious and very affordable. Recommended by a Japanese local and every ounce of energy used to get to this place is worth it. Just remember to register your name and usually there’s a queue. If you are ever in Kyoto this place is a must !!
