Chef Philip and Owner, Estelle, are terrific hosts. We arranged a dinner for 8 at their very lovely, quaint restaurant in the tiny village of La Cadiere d'Azur in Southern France - prior to arriving. Since only one person in the group spoke a little French, we thought it was going to be an issue to arrange a group dinner. We could not have been more wrong! Our table was beautifully set for us! We were greeted warmly... View all feedback.
What Stéphane Launay doesn't like about La Chaise Bleue:
We visited whilst on holiday to celebrate our son in laws birthday. We have been before and promised him a lovely meal. Disappointing from the start. We all had different meals and none of them came anywhere near the standard we were expecting. Needless to say we skipped dessert and coffee and a tip! Won't be going there again.
We had x3 burgers - amazing. I had the Faux Fillet - very very good. I ordered medium and it came medium (English way) so would go for medium rare next time.

We were greeted warmly and introduced us to our servers, who both spoke English. It's a tiny restaurant in a tiny medieval village, a little jewel! We felt like locals!
