"While spending a weekend at a rustic cabin near Tamms IL, my wife and I tried Huckleberry's from a recommendation on the Southern IL Eats' Facebook page. This venture was far from a disappointment. The food was yummy, prepared with care and was very well plated, the zervice was impecable, they were bit short handed but we were in no hurry. If you are passing through or hiding out in deep Southern IL for a few days, do not skip Huckleberry's , you would be missing out on a gem of a local eatery. Don't forget to tip your server. If you can't afford to tip, you can't afford to eat out."

"This is one of those reviews you look forward to doing. I'd heard that it was good from guys I work with.. good was a understatement this place is a hidden gem! Four of us had the pulled pork in different ways.. nachos, sandwich and the plates. The meat was smoked just the right amount, moist and tender! The sides were on a 1-10 scale were solid 15s : Great slaw, Great baked beans Outstanding potato salad. I'd definitely do it again at the drop of a hat! A fair price didn't hurt anything either."

"The first time you break in will not be the last. I added her cheeseburg bacon, my wife got a patty melt. We loved both. The burger was made perfect, his patty melt was also. Our waitress was AMAZING, NIE HAD A DRY GLASS. We'll come back, the NEXT time we're coming with the guard."

"I been hesitant to go to Lulu 's because is on a unsafe part of town. But one day I was starving and decided to try it. The chicken was prepared with too much condiment, the bread was not fresh (hard on the edges) and the service was fake friendly Much better places in chicago."
