"Routinely fresh, and because of that is always spectacular flavor, and mouth watering in taste. Has become my regular destination for my Mexican food fix, probably close to once a month. Personal favorite is the Chile Relleno, either with cheese or chicken (pix w/chix) and fish tacos. Yumm Year after posting my initial review of La Roca, thought it needed a Covid related update for those willing to try take-out, which worked perfectly. Called and made my typical order of Chili Relleno with chicken, and beans/rice with side of fish tacos. Called on a busy day for them, and picked up in about 45 minutes costing less than $20 which included tip. My bad on spillage...over-eager."

"Thoroughly enjoyed my dinner. The pork belly and ice cream is always fabulous, but the paté de foie gras is absolutely incredible! Order it you will *not* be disappointed. The dessert menu is packed, making it hard to decide. My friend and I shared the strawberry champagne crème brûlée and the tres leches cake. Both were creamy, sweet (without being cloying), and delicious. Roll everything together with an unparalleled view even when it's raining and you have the makings of a 5 star meal!"

"I am writing this review because we spent close to $300 for a meal that did not live up to its hype. We booked this restaurant for dinner, because we had a great meal a few years back and were financially ready to sacrifice again. It all started well. The appetizers, pork belly and clams, were very good. Unfortunately, the caprese salad was flavourless and I suspect it was because of the low quality cherry tomatoes. The main dishes were also a disappointment. Although the halibut was a good portion, it smelled very fishy and the pork was overcooked. But, it ended well. The chocolate cake was not too sweet and the cocoa used was of good quality. Overall, a mixed bag and definitely not a meal that was worth close to $300 (tip included). If you want better quality food, Tidal Raves Seafood Grill in Depoe Bay is a much better choice and you get the view, too. ×××××××××××××××××××××××××××××× This is a follow up comment to the review above. I want to publicly acknowledge the courtesy call received from Mr. Steve Wilson, the owner of the Bay House at Salishan, regarding the review above. I highly valued his thoughtfulness and effort to make his patrons' remarks a priority. Furthermore, even though I did not write the review for a recompense, I certainly appreciate the more than generous gift certificate that he sent our way. We are now hopeful to have a great meal (like the one we had the first time we came across this restaurant) once more, in the near future. Thank you Mr. Wilson for showing that you are taking your business seriously and that you care about your patrons.
