While the service during Downtown Dining Week fell short of expectations, the food was decent. However, issues with undercooked clams and slow service were noted on separate occasions. Despite some shortcomings, the cozy atmosphere and great food options, including vegan dishes, make this place worth a try. In particular, the house-made ravioli in lemon cream, delicious pizza, Tiramisu cake, and appetizer bread with olive oil and balsamicum come highly recommended by patrons. Despite some service hiccups, the overall experience at this charming Italian restaurant is still commendable, generally, Piatti - La Jolla receives a rating of 4.6 on average.
