Last night was probably my first time in BFE, aka, La Mirada, but this place was worth the ride. Random impressions: FOOD STUFF. I ordered a wet CABO BURRITO w/ carnitas filled with fresh veggies, Guac and some damp but still NON-GREASY pig. The best part about this monster was that it was not Lardy and artery constipation as most Burritos tend to be. With the right amount of green sauce and shredded cheese, that was a home run. SERVICE: The strange thing in this place is that I cannot say that the servers “ACTED” are nice. You're just people from GENUINELY NICE. Cabo's waitress treats you like your long-time mates, making you feel at home. Our server, RICH, was totally nice and thoughtful. I don't know, beer and I didn't want him through questions, but he was totally cool and gave some dang good recommendations along with a few samples. Yum! Oh, and he didn't even mind when I blindly asked if he knew Conan O’Brien’s “Puppies Dressed as Cats” segment. He laughed and shared with us a description of one of his favorite Conan clips. KENNY, the owner, was totally cool. He sat next to us and simply chatted about his education and how good/authentic Mexican food was always part of his life. He is also a BEER EXPERT, so the guys had a good time to chew the fat on this topic. AMBIANCE: completely clean and spacious. Cool from the A/C, well ventilated, a few big screens here and there, and a total fun vibe. ANDERE: Get out of here and experience the CABO GOODNESS itself. Like other reviews mention: Tues/Wed Taco Specials: $2 Thurs: all day HAPPY HOUR, $3 Pints, $4 Schioner
