What Lyse B doesn't like about Nikosi Bistro-Pub:
We went with friends to this restaurant. It offers a nice selection of different plates. A lot of it is aboriginal influence. We found the plates to be a bit expensive. I had the bluberry bannock and it was nothing special. The plate consisted of 4 toasted bannock bread with whip cream and bluberry jam and a small container of maple syrup. The food tasted great but was overly price. Someone had the salmon plate, it w... View all feedback.
This restaurant is a hidden gem! The food, beer, and atmosphere are all top-notch. It's definitely worth making the trip across town to visit. One unique aspect of this place is the Aboriginal twist on certain dishes, like the blueberry bannock in the grilled cheese with duck confit. I would definitely return for another meal!
My husband and I went to this restaurant for the first time for supper. We both ordered Caesar salads to start, but they were bland and tasteless, as if they were extremely watered down. I had the fish and chips while he had the burger. The fish was overcooked and the tartar sauce was oddly similar in consistency to ranch dressing. It was the worst fish and chips I have ever eaten. The burger was nothing special either. Although some say to give a restaurant a second chance, we will not be returning. The total cost of our meal, including tip (yes, I still tipped), was $92.00. Definitely not worth the time or money.
Great place for lunch! We stopped in for a quick meal right after arriving in Wakefield. We ordered the Asian noodle salad and the burger, both of which were delicious. The service was prompt and the staff were very friendly.
Fine establishment on the water however the menu could be better and the Filet Mignon quesadillas was very disappointing. The wine selection is also very poor.
Our order of wild trout infused with delicate flavours and served on a bed of beet risotto was an eating experience. The chunks of beet in the risotto was a lovely surprise and accompanied the trout so well. The side salad with a mixture of greens and onions was so refreshing. The chocolate cheesecake was out of this world. Hopefully these restrictions will end soon and we can go back to enjoy the overall atmosphere of this unique restaurant in such a lovely setting.
