"Seemingly very basic and unassuming when first entering this restaurant, but service and food tell an entirely different story. Both my husband and I ad the Caesar Salad, and the braised short rib dinner. Both far more than good, the chefs at this family-owned restaurant really know what they’re doing. The salad was the best I’ve ever had. The rib dinner was beyond. Full of amazing tastes, the meal was also colourful on the plate, making you want to stop talking and just dig in. If you’re coming to Ottawa or anywhere near Wakefield, Quebec, you need to experience the magic at The Village."

"Buffet brunch on Sunday was really great! Fresh assortment of local produce prepared into several amazing salads (with homemade salad dressing), croissants as well as the usual eggs, beans, sausage and hash browns. Suggest you make a reservation. Excellent service and stunning location."

"We ordered a hamburger and crispy shrimp and fish taco. Nothing was good. The side fries was not in a good shape. It took long time to prepare the meal. I was wondering how crowded this low quality food restaurants."

"Great place to stop at after a hike in Gatineau Park. All their sorbets are vegan, and they usually have a few dairy free ice creams which are vegan too. The dairy free chocolate was amazing. Scoops are really generous. There's a nice seating area in the backyard. Beware, the lines can get long on hot summer days!"
