"We squeezed into a table for two in this little restaurant opposite the market. It was full of petanque players. The tournament was on that afternoon. With that many local players it had to be good. The service was sincere, good natured and fun. We ordered cassoulet and unlike earlier experiences in some other places this thing was the real deal. Plenty of duck, Toulouse sausage, lamb and white beans in a rich sauce. We washed it down with vin du pays but couldn't finish the dish. Authentic we reckoned. Honest. No frills. Just good cooking and ambience. Tons of it."

"We have been coming to the Perisse regularly for many years and for the last year or so, under the new management of Bruno Xavière, we always enjoy ourselves. They are perfect hosts. Last night was a beautiful evening and we sat outside and it was lovely to see the restaurant so busy. The menu has its usual local dishes, always well cooked and the menu is always complimented by additional special suggestions, and the one's we chose last night were excellent. I would always recommend the Perisse and look forward to our next visit."
