What User likes about Tasca Da Lota:
Recommended by local guide. Restaurant on edge of fish dock near station. Busy with locals, families groups. Either grilled fish with boiled potatoes or meat with chips. Good portion sizes. Simple food but done well with excellent choice and very competitive prices compared to the main restaurant areas. Would recommend for authentic experience View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Tasca Da Lota:
For a fish restaurant you would expect to get fresh fish, not pre-frozen. We had mussels (tiny and many shells didn’t have any), squid (my son had to chew and chew and chew. Cutting it was like a dissection) and swordfish which was dry. I asked if the squid was frozen before cooking and was told “yes”.
