"I love this place! It 's very retro looking straight out of the 1950s. But the main attraction is (of course) the frozen custard. It 's made right there, and in addition to the basic chocolate vanilla options, every day of the month has its own featured flavor. We were there most recently for espresso coffee flavor, which was divine. There are a lot of concoctions to be made with the frozen custard: plain cones, sundaes, milkshakes, etc., so you don 't ever have to have the same thing twice if you don 't want to! My husband I live about 10 miles away, but stop there for dessert any time we 're in this area. Highly recommended!"

"Nice place with upbeat Friday night vibe, great wine list. Presentation of food was great, but the taste did not bear us. We had the Walleye Special and the chicken and mushroom Pasta Special. The pasta was better than the Walleye."

"5/5 Koffee Kup WHAT A GEM!! My husband works in Lake Zurich so he has eaten there several times but I never had until today! My only experience was dropping in once to collect a fundraiser donation. I mentioned the company my husband works for and the owner immediately perked up and said he knows the owner of my husband's company because he eats there a couple times a week! I figured one guy who can afford to eat anywhere must really love the food if he eats there every week! Welp... turns out.. My feeling was right! Food was delicious. Served hot and exactly as ordered, we asked for modifications. Service was EXCELLENT. Parking is easy. The waitresses carry little tablets they order your meal on then pass it to you to pay with! Super efficient! Very clean! Huge selection. Lots of specials. Waitress knew the menu inside out! I was impressed when I asked what was in their quiche and she ran an extensive impressive list of the ingredients! Very helpful. Most everything on the menu is easy to modify for dietary needs. Cup was always full. Banter of regulars with the employees was funny yet sweet... I like when a restaurant has that kind of relationship with regulars because I know the owners and employees care about their customers. I'll be back!"

"Space was very nice and guitar player added to the ambiance. Service was pretty good. Some of the food was more successful than others. Starter salad was delicious, fresh and unique in a good way. My mussels, which I ordered as an entree was so-so. It arrived at room temperature so server had the kitchen heat it up a bit. It was mostly tomato sauced; could have used a bit more white wine and garlic as proposed. Other diners thought their entrees good although nothing outstanding. It's ok for a restaurant in Vernon Hills."
