"I had a remarkable meal at this lovely restaurant located within the Six Senses Douro Valley Resort! From the moment I set foot on the premises, I was greeted warmly and treated very kindly! The decor and ambiance is both modern and traditional in keeping in accordance with the surrounding river valley. It feels very endemic to the area. Everything from the bread to the dessert are painstakingly prepared and it shows in the presentation and delectable flavor. I absolutely loved the traditional Portuguese Cozido, which is totally shareable, as well as the tender roasted lamb dish. The beet mousse dessert was also well worth indulging in. I’d like to note that all servers were beyond professional and amicable. I commend all of them for that. For being the best resort in Europe, they make you feel at ease I had a remarkable meal at this lovely restaurant located within the Six Senses Douro Valley Resort! This restaurant is truly an obligatory stop while on your exploration of the Douro Valley. I’d love to return!"

"This was our second visit and we absolutely love this hotel. Our break started off challenging when our airline failed to deliver our luggage on a bank holiday weekend so when we arrived at the hotel we were quite stressed and upset... however we were greeted with a wonderful room upgrade which had the most amazing views which helped us to relax. We were then introduced to a fantastic lady called Angela in the hotel spa shop who helped us find some clothes and basic essentials until our luggage arrived 2 days later. Not only is the hotel totally amazing but just as importantly, if not more important, is the team of staff at the hotel who were truly very kind to us and turned our vacation around from a very stressful start to an amazing break. We cannot thank the whole team enough even before we arrived the GEM team helped us book a variety of activities, restaurants and an amazing wine tasting experience at the hotel. We are already looking at dates for our third visit. I would also like to add that the food in the restaurant is gorgeous"

"Comfort food, homemade and of great quality and flavor. Numerous delicacies typical of the region, served with excellent muscatel. The main meal was generously served. It was all super yummy. Mr Pedro is friendly and made the experience even more pleasant. We will be back! I recommend the garlic and chicken balls, as well as the beans and typical sausages as a starter. The ribs with potatoes in the oven were divine."
