What Bob M likes about Bascom Lodge:
Rustic setting, good hamburger, great view even with the clouds streaming overhead. In general, the area has not changed much, except for the fact that we cooked our own food in the Thunderbolt Shelter back in the 50's and 60's. View all feedback.

Located atop Mt Greylock, it's kinda an odd duck place. Seems like its existence is to service AT through hikers. But how many hikers want to pay $40 a night for lodging? The hours are odd as well. We arrived at the summit around 5 pm. Dark Skies showed that a short duration hail storm was rolling in.
