What wsvitak doesn't like about Jay's Steak And Hoagie Joint:
$32 for 2 cheesesteaks and we were not impressed. Cold, soggy rolls, hard cheese on the one and barely any whiz in the other. The wife took 2 bites and refused to eat the rest. I typically don’t leave bad food reviews unless I really have a reason to, but I’m sorry, you can’t call yourself a cheesesteak shop and put out steaks like this. This is Philly (Philly area) after all. Steaks are a dime a dozen and there’s a lot of competition, so if you’re gonna specialize in steaks, they better be good. I’ve gotten far better steaks from a pizza shop and that’s saying something. First and last time I ever go here. What User likes about Jay's Steak And Hoagie Joint:
Let me begin by saying that I flick LOVE this place. Every time I ordered food from Jays, it was on the spot and just as I wanted it every time. I always get the cheese steak with extra American cheese on a pulp roll with Mayo... every time I eat one of the cheese steaks, it has my mouth water. I recommend this joint! it is local, and of course the staff is always polite! View all feedback.
