If you make the trip from huay xai to luang prabang by slow boat, you will have to do the night in the small village of pakbeng and take the boat back in the morning until you reach destination. "My friend and I stopped here with friends on the slow boat. my bf and I had x2 laos curries with tofu and pumpkin, x2 Papaya salads, a big beer and a green tee. the salad was the crispy and fresh tasting and our curry came hot and full of taste. the meal was only shy of 100, 000 kip (only less than a ten) we were there for a few hours socialism and the atmosphere was great. the place is very casual eating arrives when it is ready and the owner may forget her drink when it is busier! he speaks great English and is looking forward to any diet! great location with some tables about the search for the flow ensure to wear moskito when they plan to sit there!"

"Visiting Pakbeng would be absolutely prescinding if it were not because it is a duty to stop one night if you travel on the boat that takes you to luang prabang. a long street with unclean guest house and faces for what they offer. We chose the guest house of Pakbeng because of its proximity to the boat house and being only for one night we looked more at that detail than others. The restaurant of an inch more than doubtful, is badly served and the food leaves much to be desired and was more expensive than expected."

"In the long street beginning from the pakbeng boat, the intermediate port in the mekong to reach the Laosian city of luang prabang, is this Hindu restaurant.
