I wanted to like this place, great ambiance, cool setting being shared with the hotel lobby, good service but the menu is very short, wish they had a few more options, nice place to chill before the beach or walk, they also close earlier than most coffee shops around. View all feedback.
What Wes C doesn't like about Bean Barnacle:
Went here the first morning of my stay and everything was fine, got a good breakfast sandwich at a reasonable price. Two mornings later I told the wife and kids let's just get something from the Bean and Barnacle so we can get out to the water. When we got there and asked for the breakfast sandwich the lady working said we do not have breakfast sandwiches. I told her I got one two mornings ago and it's on your menu s... View all feedback.
This place is in the Plunge Beach Hotel. It was very good. Definitely will stay there again and also hit this spot for good food.Food: 5/5
Starbucks coffee and some breakfast sandwiches. Good for a quick and cheap breakfast.Cool seating area that's part of the hotel lobby with artwork and games and lots of seating. Outdoor patio as well.Free parking for 30 minutes at the meters on the north side of the building.Parking: Few metered spots that are free for 30 minutes

This is basically a Starbucks in the lobby of the Plunge Beach Resort Hotel. Nothing exciting, unless you're really a Starbucks fan. They do offer mini bottles of Bailey's or Kahlua that you can add to you to your coffee for $5.
Waited over 10 minutes to place order. The couple ahead of me got iced stuff and food. Took the one poor girl working there forever to serve it. Not her fault. Needed another set of hands. I ordered flat white. The machine is a 3-group La Marzocco, I believe, a real beauty. While the girl started the shot, she set the milk to steam. And steam. And steam. Dumped it all in a paper cup (no ceramic cups here). It was hot enough to melt lead. I waited for a few minutes then tried it. My tongue is still burned, 8 hours later. I won't complain about the starbucks...I'm from Seattle and no one at home buys that junk. But a flat white is not what you serve. Instead of an intense ristretto shot with a small amount of steamed milk, I got a milky latte. Won't be back.
