Le Boufadou Hostellerie du Villard

My daughter and I were traversing the country from Paris to Côte d'Azur and at the last minute decided to stop half way. We found this gem on Travelocity and, although the pictures there were less than overwhelming,we decided we would give it a try....This sweet hotel is definitely off the beaten path and that's what makes it so much better. You feel as if you've immersed yourself into the French countryside of the early twentieth century. The owners were so kind and hospitable to these two American women who spoke very little french. Although they spoke very little English we found ways to communicate. Waking up to the hills and the birds and the light snow was perfect as we ate our breakfast. When we attempted to pay the internet was down so I would suggest having euros on hand as well as your credit card. I was very well pleased with La Boufadou!

We had the pleasant surprise to learn after a trip of 800 kms that our hotel room reservation was not possible, following an error in the owner's date registration on his register. we had to book via booking, but this one asked us by phone a "on-live" reservation to avoid the "17% commissions." I cross, however, that the most serious thing is that I did not have the decency of trying to find a replacement solution for a family with two children in the early age. You poor!

This address was communicated to us by the head of our village of lodgings, and by fainting we gave one evening to the map of the boufadou and this with great pleasure !I ordered by telephone the order was ready at the time and we were delighted with the proposed menus. Taste, product quality, quantity and price we were not disappointed and even returned. short of the motivated, friendly young people who deserve to be known.

There are establishments that deserve respect not by their standing but by their simplicity and the unfailing commitment of the owners. This establishment must also be promoted as the young couple who keeps it redoubled efforts to satisfy you. Take the time to talk, their story will touch you in the heart. for the hotel the rooms are clean and simple. silence at night is disturbing. for the restaurant the cuisine is authentic and generous. then exit clichés, standards, main roads. Do a few kilometers more to discover this authentic place. I promised the official that I will come to stay at his place again. I'll keep my promise. before leaving do not forget the jams honey and homemade compotes ;-)
