"It wasn't cheap, but then the best things in life aren't! The last time I raved about a restaurant, it was the Three Chimneys on Skye, one of NY Times top ten in the world at one point. This is a more 'normal' French restaurant, with generous portions, artistic and delicious, spacious and friendly. If you're heading for Calais, it's a good stopover an hour from the port. Our campsite manager [a Frenchman] recommended it as unusually good French restaurant fare, and it is. Notable starter: carpaccio of veal. The bottle of 2012 St Nicholas Bourgeuil was Loire at its best. Generally just wonderfully mouthwatering and satisfying food experience."

"Very good bistro. Flat-dessert lunch formula at 17€ (the rest of the card is around 30€ for the same service). I ate a shrimp crust chicken with Thai noodles. A well done dish. I was especially pleasantly surprised by the dessert of the formula: A Breton sandstone with a pastry cream and raspberries. A real treat."
