"Historic home converted into a bed and breakfast. They have a bar and restaurant to eat at during the evening as well which I found very tasty and quaint. I am knocking two full stars right off the top mainly because of the lack of cleanliness in the room that they put me in. The windows are so filthy they are full of spider webs and dirt from probably 30 years ago. Baseboard heaters are quite literally falling apart in front of your very eyes and there are so many scars and black marks all over the walls that it makes you look like they gave a child a crayon and let him go crazy inside. With that said, it is a nice little hotel if you are looking for something that is affordable and quiet. I do like the area and it is certainly not a chain which is a big benefit I think! They just need to spend a few bucks to spruce up the rooms and many of the doorways and exterior parts of the house. Paint and some major cleaning would go a long way. Rooms: Very old and I can only speak to one room but it was in dire need of cleaning. Dirty windows and the baseboard heaters were quite literally falling apart in front of your eyes. Needs a new coat of paint like no body's business! Walkability: The only thing you're walking to here is your car. Food drinks: They do have on site dining at a restaurant, but it is not open late. Rooms: 2 Service: 3 Location: 4 Hotel highlights: Romantic, Quiet, Great value"

"The waiter and service was really good. Sitting outside the atmosphere is nice as well. The apps were delicious but I recommend sticking with the meat dishes for mains. The dessert coffee ice cream is also the righto option!"

"During our stay in Vermont in summer we visited the Harpoon brewery for some beer tasting. We had a reservation that was necessary at this time, whether it was during peak or secondary hours. We were warmly welcomed and immediately taken to our place. We could see the brewery behind the store, and it would have been really cool to get a tour through the place. But because of the pandemic they did not offer a tour at that time. They offer flight beer here and you will get four different types of beer to choose. They come in 6 ounces of glasses, placed on the tray in the form of harpoon. Since it is not recommended to consume alcohol in the empty stomach, and we were there for lunch anyway, we ordered some hearty dishes. I went with a BYO burger that comes with chips, but substituted fries for another $2. It was a good burger, not great, but good. My Hubby went with Texas style brisket sandwich. He also did not feel the side of the chips, so without really reading the menu, he replaced with Koleslaw. But it comes with one side of Koleslaw, so he got twice the Koleslaw! LOL. The bride was dry... No good sandwich... stick with snacks and beer in a brewery... The beers, on the other hands, were GREAT! We enjoyed everyone we tasted. And we even added two more tastings as you can order 6 ounces of size individually. We decided to buy a package of the most unique, Dragon White at home with us. The server told us that we can submit an order with him so that we don't have to go to the store page and pay separately. We did this, and he brought us the 4-pack to our table. Nice service! Our server was very friendly and attentive, efficient. We were well prepared. It was a fun visit, and we enjoyed the whole beer we tried. Not the best food again, but hey, they are brewery, concentrated on beer, not food."

"Fresh delicious food in a kind of remote location, but WELL is worth the ride. Make a reservation to avoid a possibly busy time, but you can probably still without one. We were there a few times and enjoyed everything we ordered. Your salmon and fish and chips were excellent!"
