We ate at this restaurant a week ago. The food was good but the service was diabolical. It was a young waiter who had both hands in his pockets and chewing gum standing at the end of our table while taking our drinks order. Starving hungry after work and a long journey home, popped in and ordered take away menu. Sadly the naan crunched as I bit into the corner piece which sounded like bits of glass. Won’t be ordering again. Can’t eat the rest of my food now. Makes me worry about their kitchen conditions.
I'm angry that I didn't find Solent tandoori sooner. We just had the lamb tikka and chicken tikka something, something and they tasted amazing.
Food was wonderful and the service was excellent. The best example of how authentic Indian food should be made.
A brilliant takeaway. Plenty of food, tastes really good. Good customer service. Would go again.
I have had Indian meals regularly over the past 40 years or more, including in restaurants and from takeaway establishments and in many areas of the country! I have also been to India 4 times travelling around the country trying various regional recipes so I am well informed in Indian food! I have to say that all orders from Solent Tandoori in Lee on Solent has been the best Indian food that I have ever tasted, which is quite some achievement... WELL DONE TO THE CHEF CHEF'S.... I would highly recommend Solent Tandoori to anyone and everyone.
