"What a cracking little pub! We were made to feel most welcome, with both locals and staff alike friendly and chatty. My coeliac husband enjoyed a choice of gluten free beers on tap (we only discovered one of them was gluten free by accident, as the staff weren't aware). The pub quiz was also great, with good crack from the local teams. We ate at the pub once and popped down for a pint on a few other occasions while we were staying in the village. I would definitely recommend booking in advance if you want to eat, as it's a popular destination. Dietary restrictions: Good gluten free options with GF beers on tap some of the Abbeydale choices are GF but not labelled as such."

"My husband and I went for a quick lunch. It was a very cozy and friendly place. I had a coronation tofu sandwich which was surprisingly beautiful. I am not a vegan nor vegetarian but all the menu looked very appealing such that I found it very difficult to choose. It was a dog friendly too. I am not a big fan of cakes in general but we shared a date and walnut cake which was divine!"

"We called in with our campervan looking for food and to park for the night. My husband went in to ask if we could park overnight on their car park, it was just great that we were allowed. We parked up and went over to have dinner . The owners were very welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us m. We both ordered the small fish and chips, which came in no time it was delicious and very filling. We decided to share the apple and rhubarb crumble , it was hot and very delicious. We left feeling very full. Parking: Large car park opposite the pub.
