"Very popular restaurant on the weekend, lucky we booked earlier in the week as it was all booked out. We were due to dine for the later session, but they gave us a call as the table was available 15 minutes early, which was perfect as we were just about to get there. From that point on, the service of the night was top notch, very friendly attentive. The menu was a classic Mod Aust, salmon, scallops, steak, chicken, lamb, pork etc, just what you expect, no surprises. I had the scallop for entree, it was nice and light with the accompanied salad. The smoked salmon with poached egg caviar was nice too, but for me it still seems a bit of a breakfast combo. My main with the Angus beef was a bit of a mixed dish, the steak itself was good, but the lentils were really out of place didn't go with the dish, also the potatoe cake was chewy crusty, could've been crunchy if it wasn't being sandwiched between the steak the lentils, and soaked through in the jus. The dessert of chocolate mousse pumpkin sponge was good, but we were already so full from the first two courses, we shared one dessert still couldn't finish it. Overall, a nice evening and a good dinning option when staying in the mountains."

"My friend and I were at Katoomba for 2 nights. We decided to have a go at Pins because of great reviews. We weren't disappointed... instead of entrees and mains, we decided to do 6 entrees between us (it was a lot but we did good ;-)) We thought the zucchini flowers, scallops and lamb cutlets were terrific.. the other items pork loin, pumpkin soup and mushroom and onion bruschetta were also good.. one remark was that all the entrees came all at once not allowing us to enjoy the evening at a measured pace.."

"Food is ok, just average Thai food , nothing really special . The service is really dreadful . The lady working at the restaurant on most days of the week, treats people with such lack of will , not even a minimum greet back and serving like she was serving her dogs. Sitting outside with my kids as it’s sunny today. It’s appalling , on every spot there are enormous spider webs hanging all over the restaurant. They literally haven’t wipe or clean the place over the last 2 years . Please look at the photos , disgusting"

"Delicious food, cafe staff are very welcoming and hospitable! When we arrived, it looked like it was a very popular restaurant with many regular guests coming for their morning coffee. We had the Croque Madam and the French onion soup and it tasted like my French father made it! Would definitely recommend tasting their French onion soup!"

"Unique by name, unique by nature. I don't think I've ever dined somewhere serving cakes and cakes that are made together with the authentic Malaysian cuisine. but this is what they get here, and surprisingly, all eating is sensational. I have tried some of the bakeries and broth shops along the main tow in katoomba and I believe this facility offers the best cake in the city. they are also very favorable. a sausage roll will return them only $2.50 and the best they will pay for a torte $4.50 they will find all their favorites, from steak, huh and mushroom and brain cake to the more unusual vegetarian green curry cake. "Tried to come in for an early dinner. I don’t normally give a bad review for something I have not experienced yet. However. We were knocked back saying that he could not accommodate us a large family group. The place was empty at 4.30pm. It was very obvious he did not want to give away seats to kids who will spend 15-25 a head rather than 40 plus for one adult. Not a good experience to start off with for this business. You must be raking it in to knock back people."
