Visited recently and was pleasantly surprised by the food choices. Was reluctant to visit due to the many recent changes of owners etc but no complaints this time. We paid a visit to The Fountain as we were staying locally. It seems to be a ‘locals’ pub, which is certainly not a bad thing (after all these folk are the bread and butter of pubs), but to have bar staff chatting to those at the bar, and therefore ignoring you when you’re waiting to buy a drink isn’t great. We ordered food (pizzas) about 5 minutes before the kitchen opened. Service was slow; we waited for 50 minutes... View all feedback.
