What User doesn't like about La Carabene:
We had a reservation for our group of eight and our table was waiting for us in the perfect location under the large awning. We all decided to try the lunch menu that had choices from two appetizers, two main courses, desserts and coffee. We had a couple of carafes of the the house wines (rose and red.) Less than half hour drive from Carcassonne, La Carabene is located in the heart of very historic small town Limoux.

We had a late night meal here and loved the salads. The prices were very good as well. We enjoyed the cassoulet, but the salad with duck was the best.

"They sell gf macarons in store but you can also order a gluten free creation for the next day. When I visited they offered only one option for order it had a cake base with layers of strawberry mousse, coulis and a nutty nougatine. Can be ordered as an individual piece or a bigger cake for 4. V nice!"

"We called in to have a burger and we were amazed by the quality of the food. The owner uses only local ingredients and makes everything himself including a whole range of sauces. The range of burgers is incredible and the meat was lean, succulent and tender. The owner is very passionate about his cooking as well as being very friendly and chatty. We will definitely go back!"
