"Great experience very nice helpful staff service first class then theres the food what I had was excellent roasted cauliflower soup (best soup in ages followed by a lovely cod dish first class my wife and I were too full to try their range of sweets so we went with coffees which were also very presentable good experience all round"

"I used to really like going here for lunch but the last two visits have really put me off. I went a week or two ago and ordered lasagne and chips but was told that they were fresh out of chips and ordered mash instead. This wasn’t a big deal but the food then took around 45 minutes to arrive. I was just thinking of cancelling the food and leaving. In fairness to the staff, they gave me a full refund without me having to ask so I appreciated this. I then decided to go for lunch here again yesterday and got a cheeseburger and chips. Later in the day I started to feel lethargic and sick with food poisoning. I didn’t eat anything else after my lunch in Thornbury’s so the food there was clearly not cooked right. The staff were also quite amateur on this occasion as they also forgot to bring down a tray bake that we ordered and paid for. Really used to like this place but after these last two visits, I can comfortably say that there are much, much better places to eat in Lisburn."
