"Can not describe the sheer beauty, the gnade, the elegance and the entire glory of this wonderful institution. I ordered a well-made steak, and to my surprise, in contrast to many other well-made steaks I had before, was not only well cooked on the outside, but also full of juice and taste. the pfefferkornsauce has put the steak so well. Beyond that, I also tried some of my sisters coleslaw, and before that I hated the taste of it. never lived in my life, I thought I like the taste of koleslaw, but somehow, by fabians magie, I found myself subconsciously eating some. overall I would give this restaurant 10/5 stars. it really lives up to its French root of “restaurer”, which literally means “restore or update”. if I ever plan to return to wales, I will definitely come back here again"

"Visited twice during our stay in Rhayader. So busy for a small place, but I can see why! Food was amazing and staff were very friendly. Locally sourced produce too! Recommend pre-booking if having a meal."

"I booked Sunday Lunch for 2 people at Llangoed Hall on the hotel website, and received the following confirmation by email: We are delighted to confirm your reservation for Lunch at Llangoed Hall. Your booking details are below: Ref: BRDXVQZR Guest Name: Marilyn Thomas Date: Sunday, 18 February 2024 Time: 2:00 PM Guests: 2 We arrived at 1.55pm and informed the receptionist that we had a booking for Sunday lunch at 2pm. She informed us that we were booked in for afternoon tea and that Sunday lunch finishes at 1.30pm. I showed the receptionist my email from the hotel confirming my booking for Sunday lunch at 2pm, and was informed that there must have been a glitch on the website, and that only afternoon tea was available at 2pm as the kitchen closes at 1.30pm. We then left to look for an alternative venue for Sunday lunch. We also re-checked Llangoed Hall 's website and again found that it was possible to reserve a table for lunch at 2pm on Sundays, despite the fact that we had just been informed that only afternoon tea is at that time. Fortunately, we were able to find an alternative venue that could accommodate us for Sunday lunch at short notice. However, if we had made a reservation for our wider family as we often do, then we may well have been unable to find an alternative at such short notice. Additionally, it was very inconvenient to have our time wasted through no fault of our own. We will not be re-booking Llangoed Hall."

"Service is poor at best from teenagers which when you are paying £8 for a starter isn’t good. Food is excellent though but everything else is not to the same standard."

"We ordered a meal for 1 of our grandchildren and sandwiches for us they had black hair on them sent them back to replace but they also had hair in the sandwiches so grossed out won’t be going there again staff said we all make mistakes. But twice in minutes omg outrageous"
