"Another lovely lunch at The Angler's today. The food is always tasty, it's very reasonably priced and the staff are always friendly and helpful. "We were looking for a ‘light lunch’ on a drive to the Solway Firth and found this. Despite it being busy, the staff found us a table and I can only say that perusing the menu we were spoiled for choice! My husband had the fish and chips with a side of onion rings while I had the fish pie. I can only say that as well as being delicious, the portions were enormous! Desperate Dan would have been proud of the size of the fish pie which was stuffed with beautifully tender fish and prawns. So, not such a light lunch but we couldn’t fault what we had. On paying, the bill was checked through with us which I think is a great idea and saves and possible hassles. Thanks to the staff for fitting us in. Highly recommended!"

"Beautiful and recently renovated pub restaurant in a cute little village not far from the M6/A74 (2 min. from the on/off ramp.) we were looking for a dog friendly place to have dinner with my mother and my spaniel and this place has crossed all boxes. the menu was so diverse (although a feedback is, it could do with a few more vegetarian options) and that was delicious! we had to call in advance as the kitchen was technically closed before our arrival, but that was no problem and they were incredibly friendly and flexible. all the workers we met at the station were absolutely fantastic; the service was amazing and they were all so courteous and beautiful. my dog riley got tasty bites, a water dish and cuddle by several workers who made our evening meal all the more beautiful. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who lives or goes through the opposite (especially if they have a dog"

"Poor expensive food. Served by children. The girl who served me had to stand on a box!!! Only takes cash. Would not recommend it. Most of my food went ion the dustbin."
