We chose to eat in the restaurant as we had been outside in the heat all day. Ambiance was very pleasant, waitress provided good service and the food ( chicken special ,pickerel fish and chips, Cape Breton chowder and calamari ) were excellent. Proportions were reasonable. The diner is accessible and can therefore also be used with a wheelchair or physiological disabilities, Depending on the weather, you can also sit outside and eat and drink.

What Edgar Strobel doesn't like about Gaffer's Restaurant & Lounge:
Very disappointed as I have been here many times and the menu in the restaurant is the same as the Lounge menu. Not many choices really, it’s the same thing over and over. Menu been the same for years just keeps getting smaller. The restaurant...should have more options. This is not close to fine dining anymore. Guess all that’s left is the patio in the summer times for a few drinks. read more.

Gaffer's Restaurant & Lounge from Lockport is the perfect place if you want to sample delicious American courses like burgers or barbecue, It shows that the original Canadian dishes are well received by the customers of the establishment. When you're not so ravenous, you can just treat yourself to one of the delicious sandwiches, a small salad or another snack, You can take a break at the bar with a cool beer or other alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
