Ordered pizza from here twice and we're big pizza foodies, not the franchise pizza types. Their pizza holds their own. Great dough, good toppings. Havent ordered anything else yet. Staff friendly.
Romantic and fresh. We are locals so are biased. Food is fresh, unbelievable spaghett and pizza as well. We love this restaurant. So much that we are getting gift certs for all our sons hockey coaches

The complimentary bread loaf was Delicious, our meals were portioned well and the gelati was good! Our only issues were that our pastas were covered/soaked in marinara sauce and that was all we could taste. Also, The main part of the meal (chicken and veal Parms) could have been baked more with melted cheese. There may have been some, but we couldn't see under all the marinara sauce. We will definitely return and try different entrees!
Comforting Pizza Pasta. Papa Carlo 's is located just North off Main St at Hwy 44--about a 15 minute drive from the Riverbend area. They serve a small variety of pizzas, pastas, and appetizers in a cozy setting consisting of less than 10 tables. For starters we ordered the Papa Carlo Salad for 2 $7). It was a take on the traditional 'Sorrento 's salad ' with thin slices of ham, mozzarella cheese, olives, tomatoes, cucumbers, and lettuce lightly coated in an oil and vinegar dressing. We also received to start a complimentary, hot out of the oven, mini loaf of bread with a delicious garlic butter spread. For entrees I had the cheese canneloni $15), which contained 2 large cannelonis stuffed with ricotta and spinach topped with tomato sauce and 2 pieces of garlic toast on the side. It was very good, and filling--between eating the salad and bread, I could only manage to eat one of the cannelonis. My bf had the medium sized Mexican pizza $18.25, enough for 2 people), which came with a generous amount of toppings. The pizza was delicious, especially the crust. I would definitely come for the pizza alone, which might I add is very reasonably priced for the quality you receive. If you manage to have room for dessert they offer a couple of selections along with 6 different varieties of gelato. If you are near this end of the city I definitely recommend you check this place out--and if you aren 't, well it 's worth the drive.
