Best Sichuan Restaurant in Queensland. I've been going to Sunny Court regularly for 13 years. I lived in Sichuan for a few years and I have to say that this is the most authentic Sichuan Restaurant in town there are a couple of others, but I would rate them more as inspired by Sichuan cooking, rather than authentic Sichuan They do put some non-sichuan dishes on the menu (which other reviewers mentioned), but the good... For several years we come here and eating is always very overpriced, but quite tasty, which is why I am still visiting. but I was recently vegetarian and decided to stir her Chinese fry sweet with garlic sauce ' it was delicious, but it was literally just bok choy. there was no other kind. the whole court was only bok choy. I paid $15.50 for a middle plate of bok choy that would have cost her 1.00/$2.00 to buy herself. total. probably not to visit again. if they are a carnivore, then it is still worth a visit
Lamb curry pot very bland mixed entree overcooked ordered king salted garne and received garnel in thick fat teig. long waiting time for meals personal could not communicate well at checkout calculated for 2 users only ordered an account had to be adjusted. very bad experience. has not been there for several years and everything has gone backwards
Two common dishes, honey and salt and pepper-streu- that was the worst Chinese honey chicken I ever tasted. we couldn't find a huh. then they brought out the squid. it was far overboiled until it was crispy and could not be eaten. spit politely to the owner and told him what was wrong with it. he went with him into the kitchen, came empty hand back and told me the cook said it was nothing wrong with it. unnecessary to say will never recommend or return.
In this restaurant with friends. the area was decorated in a very cozy atmosphere and just like the service that was inconspicuous. I even saw the boss who was guilty of the diners of the then table (they were not placed on the table that the boss had assigned.) eating was not bad regarding toughness (at least they offer some specific a la cart dishes of szechuan.) overall was the presented eating rustic and the impression in the service was not good.
Terrible service and overpriced food. Just had dinner at Sunny Court and it was one of the worst dining experience we've had for years. The waitress did not quite understand English and missed out one order for our youngest. Service was very slow. The food only came after we complained. Poor child was hungry and we did not even receive an apology. My soup was too spicy and inedible even though I specifically asked to make it milder than normal Regarding the price, we were charged $8 for a (VERY) tiny bowl of ordinary chicken and corn soup and $4.5 for a small basket or prawn crackers (which normally is given as complimentary in other restaurants). DO expect very small portions for all...read more
