The whole place has brightened up since a recent renovation and looks a lot more elegant than before. The food is authentic and full of flavour without MSG (not that I can taste any). Had the steam buns, prawn dumplings, wontons in chicken soup, sweet sour fish, black pepper sirloin beef (really tender), Shanghainese rice cake... all really tasty! What PeaceAndLight doesn't like about Taste Gallery:
We ordered pork ribs special sauce, quail, fried chilli beef, pan fried pork and crab buns, and cold Chili noodles. Pork ribs were very bland and not special at all. The quail were nice flavour but over cooked. The fried Chili beef was not spicy and rubbery. The pork and crab buns tasted like frozen ones from supermarket and all pork, no crab flavour.
